Churches To Use Their Platform To Promote “Operation Clean Your Frontage” Initiative

The Municipal Chief Executive of the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly, Madam Jennifer Dede Adjabeng has entreated all religious leaders to use their platforms to support and educate the people on the “Operation Clean Your Frontage “initiative. This she said would help achieve a change in behaviour to make the initiative a successful one, for Accra to become one of the cleanest city in Africa. The MCE said this during her visits to churches in the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly on Sunday 30th January, 2022.

During her speech at the Immanuel Presbyterian Church, to brief them on the enforcement, she said change in human behavior was one of the prerequisite that was needed for the initiative to work effectively. She urged all to keep their surroundings clean and dump refuse at designated places.

Speaking at the Perez Chapel International, Kuotam-Pantang Branch, she advised members to be responsible for their surroundings and avoid blaming others for it.

Henceforth, officers from the Environmental Health would be going round from 1st February to ensure that houses and gutters were cleaned. “If your house is not registered with any waste management company, please do well to visit the zonal councils to register to get dustbins for your homes” she added.
