As part of the Environmental Health Unit core mandate to ensure good sanitary conditions within the municipality, the unit on Tuesday 8th February, 2022 embarked on a routine exercise of desilting drains to pave way for the free flow of water in the rainy season.
The exercise usually covers the Central Business Area such as Baaba Seidu and Nkulenu roads, Madina Central market, Provision Lane and Las Palmas.
Alaru Azuma Alhasan, a staff of the Unit affirmed the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to ensure that residents live in total environmental safety, especially as the rains have set in.
