The Information Services Department on Monday, 14th March, 2022 started embarking on a five-day public education campaign on cholera in the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly.
The exercise was intended to inform residents on the need to avoid open defecation, littering around and dumping of refuse indiscriminately and enforcement of the Assembly’s bye-laws to avert cholera outbreak.
The public education campaign aimed at sensitising residents to desist from such unhealthy practices which could lead to outbreak of cholera.
Lastly, it further sought to remind residents that persons who flouted the directive would be dealt with by the law.
