The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Secretariat of National Youth Authority (NYA) has organised 5 days sensitisation programme for four Junior High Schools in the municipality.
The sensitisation was on Adolescent sexual reproductive health right, teenage pregnancy, personal hygiene and the dangers of drug and substance abuse. All these were geared towards the empowerment of our young people in order to make informed decisions.
Miss. Juliana Gyamfi, the Municipal Director of NYA said the purpose of the sensitisation was to improve the knowledge base of the youth about preventive health care; assist them to avoid practices such as engaging in early sex and avoid irresponsible sexual activities that may expose them to Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD’s).
The programme begun on Friday, November 25, ended on Thursday, December 1, 2022. The beneficiary schools were Danfa Methodist JHS, Kweiman M/A JHS, Oyarifa Presby JHS and St. James Anglican JHS.
