LaNMMA Celebrates Ghanaian Cultural Heritage.

The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly has organised a three-day cultural festival to celebrate Ghana’s rich cultural heritage at the Madina Technical institute, from Monday 11th March to Wednesday 13th March, 2023.

The festival provided the platform for cultural groups and other people from all walks of life to showcase various aspect of their culture, which was celebrated under the theme: “Wear Ghana To Promote Our Own”.

Day one saw the staff of La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly embarking on a float through the principal streets of the Municipality, which was followed by cultural displays by Amamre group who entertained the audience.

On the second day, the former Minister for Culture and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. S. K. Boafo who addressed the gathering and emphasised the significance of embracing and preserving the Ghanaian culture.

Mr. S. K. Boafo who chaired the occasion urged Ghanaians to take pride in their culture by wearing locally-made items, savouring traditional cuisines, speaking indigenous languages and fostering a sense of patriotism.

He also stressed on the importance of steering clear of immoral activities and upholding values that contribute to the well-being and unity of the country.

The festival was climaxed on the evening of day three with a Fashion Show at the Institute’s School Park, which saw King Ayisoba and other artistes entertaining the audience to the admiration of all present.
