A one-day ESICAPP Training has been held for 20 Environmental Health and Sanitation Officers of the La Nkwantanang-Municipal Assembly on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the Assembly’s upper conference room.
It aimed at enhancing the data collection process within the Municipality by introducing ESICApp 2.0 to the Environmental Health and Sanitation Officers.
Presenting an overview, an officer from the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources IT Department, Mr. Ebenezer Oppong led the session providing a comprehensive overview of ESICApp 2.0.
Highlighting on ESICApp, he said it is a mobile application designed by the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources to tackle sanitation challenges efficiently.
He pointed out that ESICApp serves as a user-friendly data collection tool facilitating the creation, viewing, editing and sharing of Excel spreadsheet files.
Mr. Oppong outlined the benefits of ESICApp 2.0 as including, streamlining data collection processes and improving accessibility of information.
He guided participants through the steps of downloading the App and accessing information ensuring clarity on its usage.
Mr. Oppong clarified that ESICApp is intended to enhance efficiency and accuracy in data collection rather than replace the roles of the officers.
The training provided valuable insights into leveraging technology for improved sanitation data collection.
