LaNMMA Holds Second Ordinary Meeting

The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly has held its second ordinary meeting of the second session of the fourth Assembly on Tuesday, 28th October, 2025.

In a brief remark, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Faila Fuseini commended the house for the conscious effort by all members to achieve the set goals geared towards the betterment of the lot of the people.

He urged the house to demonstrate full commitment to implementing decisions and resolution arising from the meeting for the wellbeing of the people and the municipality.

At the meeting, presentations and discussions approved included medium term development plan, 2026 Annual Action plan, and 2026 Draft composite budget.

Others include draft 2026 fee-fixing resolution and 2026 revenue improvement action plan presentation of 2024 auditor-general’s report.

Delivering the executive committee report, Hon. Faila outlined recommendations for the consideration and approval of the general house which included:

  1. The Assembly should evacuate illegal occupants of the Madina new road market.
  2. The Assembly should consider vocational and technical skills training for the youth by factoring the Madina Vocational Institute as a training hub for the youth, to reduce unemployment.
  3. The Assembly should collaborate with its sister Assemblies to urgently resolve all boundary issues
  4. The Assembly should demolish and reconstruct the Madina public toilet due to health and safety concern.
  5. The Assembly should fence all the public schools within the Municipality to enhance security and safety for the students and staffs.
