The 38th National Farmers’ Day Celebration on the theme, “Accelerating Agricultural Development through Value Addition” has commenced with inspection of nominated farmers within La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipality.

Agricultural Extension Agents from the Department of Agriculture nominated prospective farmers from their respective operational areas.

The Municipal Agricultural Officers from the Department and a member from the Information Services Department of the Assembly made follow-up visits to evaluate and short-list the nominees based on the criteria for selecting award winners from the Ministry of Agriculture (MoFA).

The list and scores of potential award winners will then be put together and discussed with management before invitation letters are sent to them. The 5-day inspection exercise started on Monday, November 7 to Friday, November 11, 2022.
