The La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly has, on Thursday August 17, 2023 donated assorted items comprising drinks, bottles of schnapps and an undisclosed sum of money to Teiman Traditional Council towards the celebration of this year’s Homowo Festival.

Other intended traditional council beneficiaries in the municipality include Otinibi, Danfa, Kweiman, Pantang, Ayi Mensah, Oyarifa and Nkwantanang.

In her opening remarks preceding the donation, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Jennifer Dede Adjabeng extended the goodwill of the Assembly towards the people of Teiman in the celebration of the festival.

According to her, as a yearly ritual, the Assembly would continue to demonstrate this goodwill gesture towards the festival which provided a platform to re-unite and foster peaceful co-existence and harmonious living among the people.

She said the Assembly has plans in the immediate future to embark on reshaping of the road network in Teiman and its environs starting from the Teiman Township.
