The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly has donated two sets of furniture to the Madina Court 1 & 2 to address the furniture deficit of the court on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Each of the two courts received a set of furniture which comprises a three in – one, two – in – one and two singles.
Giving the items, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Jennifer Dede Afagbedzi said the gesture forms part of addressing the challenges of the court which came to her notice after a visit by the estate officer of the assembly to the court premises. She said having done the overall estimate of the fittings and furniture problems of the court, the assembly would tackle them one after the other to a logical conclusion.
Receiving the items on behalf of both courts, Her Worship Maame Efua Tordimah thanked the assembly for the gesture saying that in spite of the numerous responsibilities on the neck of the assembly, it managed to provide these needs of the court. She seized the opportunity to mention the challenges faced by the court which included painting, non-functioning air conditioning, and the bad state of windows panes among others.
She appealed to the assembly to connect water to the WC donated to them by the assembly earlier on. In the company of the Municipal Chief Executive was the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Kweku Asiedu.
