Mrs. Jennifer Dede Adjabeng, Municipal Chief Executive for the La Nkwantanang -Madina
Municipal Assembly has paid courtesy call on traditional leaders within the Municipality to
express appreciation for their support during her first tenure and seek their blessings in her
second term in office. The tour, which began on Monday, October 11, 2021, formed part of the
MCE’s pledge to forge a strong bond and a sense of unity going into the next administration.
The MCE visited ten (10) traditional authorities to solicit opinions and suggestions on major
concerns the people may have going forward.
Addressing scores of residents of the municipality, the MCE expressed her gratitude to H.E the
President for the renomination and the Regional Minister for his everyday support. She was
also thankful to the chiefs and the assembly members for the confidence they had reposed in
her, and called for their continual support to enable her to accomplish her development agenda
for the municipality.
Mrs Adjabeng promised to continue operating an open-door policy that would allow for varied
viewpoints on issues that affect them all. She called for strong collaboration between the
traditional authorities and the NPP going into the 2024 election to recapture the Madina seat
for the NPP. She further asked for their continuous prayers for the President, the Regional
Minister and the Assembly at large.
Meanwhile, the chiefs and people of the communities were grateful to the MCE for her visit
and the show of appreciation. They promised to corporate with her as usual, and also
admonished her to accept criticisms or suggestions that come from them in good faith.
“We are all here to offer our relentless support to you in hope that you succeed in all your
endeavours and plans for the assembly,” Muslim Chief of Madina, Baba Seidu said.
Some of the communities the MCE visited were Madina, Nkwantanang, Madina Zongo, Danfa,
Otinibi, Teiman, Oyarifa, Kweiman, Okataban.
Accompanying her were Heads of Department of the Assembly, Hon. Assembly members and
Executives, Elders and members of the New Patriotic Party led by the Constituency Chairman.
