The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly has donated an undisclosed amount of money to each of the Divisional Council within the Municipality on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in support of the celebration of this year’s Homowo Festival.
Nicholas Nikoi Ashie, a government appointee to the Assembly who made the donation on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, Jennifer Dede Adjabeng, said the gesture symbolises the strong bond that exists between the Traditional Authorities and the Assembly.
“The Assembly will continue to collaborate with the Traditional Authorities in a bid to help accelerate the development of the municipality,” Mr. Ashie reiterated.
The donation which took place separately at the palaces of the Divisional Council, had the chiefs expressing their profound gratitude and promised to officially convey a thank you message to the Assembly in accordance with the tradition of the GA people.
The seven beneficiary Divisional Councils were; Oyarifa, Teiman, Danfa, Otinibi, Kweiman, Ayi Mensah and La Nkwantanang.
