The La Nkwantanang- Madina Municipal Directorate of Education has organised a farewell ceremony in honour of Madam Angela Frimpomaa Nkansah, the former Municipal Director of Education in recognition of her selfless service and commitment to the development of education in the Municipality.
Madam Nkansah who came to replace Madam Patty Assan in 2019 is now the Human Resource Manager at the head office of Ghana Education Service after three years duty post in the municipality.
The ceremony which took place at Emmanuel Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Madina, on Thursday September 1, 2022 was graced by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mrs. Jennifer Dede Adjabeng; the former Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Boniface.
The rest were Regional Directors of Education from Bono and Greater Accra, Mrs. Ivy Asantewa Owusu and Ms. Monica Ankra, the Clergy, Municipal Directors of Education and representatives of various teacher unions were present to grace the occasion.
The various dignitaries took turn to deliver their goodwill messages, presented citations, undisclosed cheques and cash to the outgoing director. Speaker after speaker, Madam Nkansah was described as a very humble person whose human relationship was matchless.
Mrs. Adjabeng described Madam Nkansah as someone who is very humble and hardworking and a true role model for society. “I always look up to her as my role model even in my capacity as the political leader of the Municipality.” She eulogised.
On behalf of the Assembly, Mrs. Adjabeng presented a citation and an envelope containing undisclosed amount in appreciation of Madam Nkansah’s selfless three years’ service in the municipality.
Madam Nkansah in her brief speech expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation for the honour done her, and described her duty in the Municipality as a blessing, and a training ground which has propelled her to greater heights.
