LaNMMA Donates to Muslim Community towards Eid Ul-Fitr

The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA) has donated assorted items to the various Muslim communities in the municipality towards the celebration of Eid Ul-Fitr religious festival on Friday, April 21, 2023.

The items include bags of rice, cooking oil, milk and tea leaf.

Later in an interview, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Jennifer Dede Adjabeng, said the donation was to support the Muslim community to end the 30-day long fast.

She said it was a symbolic representation of the goodwill of the Assembly towards the celebration of the annual event, and to remind the Muslim community of the solidarity of the Assembly with them in their effort to achieve spiritual emphasis.

The MCE called on the Muslim leadership to persist in prayers for the leadership of the municipality and the nation at large.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Muslim communities, the Madina Chief, Baba Seidu expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Assembly, particularly the MCE, for the thoughtful gesture.
