The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly is making frantic preparations for the first ever Staff Fun Games at the AstroTurf Park at Libya Quarters on Friday, November 24, 2023.
The mainstream event, will see LaNMMA Staff grouped into six participating in the following sporting activities; ludo, oware, tug of peace, suck race, draft and football.
There will also be cooking competition in preparation of aprapransa, eto, gari foto, tuo zaafi, fruit set up and Ghana salad, and to spice up the event, each group will have to compose a jama song.
To ensure that the groups were fit enough for the titanic games, a rehearsal was organised on Friday, November 10, 2023 to assess the preparedness of the various groups for the fun games two weeks from now.
The games, which would witness all staff in the municipality participating is intended to promote productivity, good health and vitality in the working life of staff of the assembly.
Briefing the staff after the day’s work-out, the Municipal Planning Officer, Mr. Frederick Asiama, who also doubles as the coordinator for the event, charged all staff to avail themselves for the exercise to ensure that the intended objectives were achieved.
According to him, there would be prestigious awards given to best performing teams and departments categories.
