The Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) at the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA), Madam Abena Kwesiwa Kyei has on Thursday, 1st February 2024, handed over the site to the contractor for the construction of a 5-unit classroom block at the Fire Armour MA Basic School.
As part of LaNMMA’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure in the Municipality, the MCD tasked the Contractor MOHD AWAL INVESTMENT LTD to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated time to enable the children have a conducive environment for academic and extra-curricular activities.
The contractor is supposed to take possession of the project in two weeks’ time and is also expected to complete it in six months’ time.
Addressing the gathering after the handing over of the site, the contractor assured that the work would be completed as scheduled and appealed to all stakeholders to give him the maximum cooperation.
The project is expected to replace an old wooden structure that currently houses the KG pupils.
The project also includes ancillary facilities of 3 washrooms and a playing ground.
