The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly has on March 6, 2024 celebrated Ghana’s 67th Independence anniversary at the Madina Astro Turf.

The occasion was graced by notable individuals, including the Municipal Coordinating Director, Abena Kwesiwa Kyei, and the Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Francis Xavier Sosu, the District Director of Education, Mr. Kean Adjei Apea, Chiefs and Heads of Department of the Municipal Assembly.

Special schools such as the Municipal Special School and organizations like the Zoomlion Kids Club were actively involved in the celebrations.

Several educational institutions including the Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC), West Africa Senior High School (WASS), and Preset Pacesetters Senior High School, as well as technical and vocational schools including Madina Technical Institute and Danfa Technical and Vocational School participated in the parade.

Addressing the gathering on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Abena Kwesiwa Kyei, underscored government efforts to enhance educational infrastructure within the municipality.

For his part, the Member of Parliament for Madina constituency, Francis Xavier Sosu highlighted various interventions by his office past achievements and upcoming initiatives.
