The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA), Hon. Jennifer Dede Adjabeng has led a delegation to the Madina Electoral Commission (EC) office to oversee the on-going voter registration exercise on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
The MCE accompanied by officials of the Municipal Assembly and security agencies called on citizens to prioritize the voter registration exercise as the country approaches the 2024 general elections
Interacting with a section of the registrants, she emphasized the crucial role of voter registration as the gateway to participating in democratic elections, highlighting its significance in enabling citizens to choose their leaders.
She expressed gratitude to the district police command for their diligent efforts in ensuring that the registration exercise had so far been peaceful.
The MCE addressed the issue of under-age registration, reminding citizens that such actions were against the law. She urged eligible individuals to register responsibly and avoid any attempts to undermine the integrity of the electoral process.
Hon. Adjabeng expressed her admiration for the orderly conduct of the registration exercise while commending the public for their compliance with registration rules and regulations.
She encouraged the collaborative effort between the Electoral Commission and security personnel in ensuring a smooth and efficient process, adding that they should keep the momentum.
