Municipal Chief Executive Pays Courtesy Call On Traditional Authorities.

The Municipal Chief Executive for the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Faila Fuseini has paid a courtesy call on three traditional leaders in the municipality.

The traditional leaders are Alhaji Baba Seidu, Ali Dada Dagadu and Nii Kotey Dzor.

The tour, which began on Saturday, May 31, 2025, will ensure that the MCE and his entourage visit all the traditional areas as part of his Thank You tour.

Areas to be visited is his subsequent engagement will be Otinibi, Danfa, Ocarina, Kweiman, Teiman, Pantang and Ayi Mensah.

The purpose of the visit was to express appreciation for the support received from the traditional leaders during his nomination by the President and confirmation by the Assembly Members.

It was also to build a strong bond and a great sense of unity between the assembly and the various stakeholders and solicit views and concerns on the major development issues within the localities.

Interacting with chiefs at each palace, the MCE expressed his appreciation to them for their support and prayers for him during the confirmation period by the assembly members.

He appealed to them to continue offering him all the necessary advice during his tenure while assuring them of an open door policy.

He therefore called on the chiefs not to hesitate to express their views and concerns with regards to the development of the municipality.

Giving their responses at separate palaces, Chief Alhaji Seidu, speaking through his linguist welcomed the MCE and his entourage to the palace and expressed his appreciation to the Almighty Allah and the President for his appointment as the MCE for the municipality.

He advised the new MCE to operate an open door policy to ensure that he carries everybody along in his developmental agenda, adding that the chiefs were available to offer him the necessary support.

The Madina chief also appealed to Hon. Fusseini to as a matter of urgency, renovate all deplorable roads in the area especially the one just behind the palace.

At the Madina West Central Mosque, Chief Ali Dada Dagadu and his elders urged the MCE to attach greater value to the position since the task ahead was enormous for which he needed to be diligent in his approach to work to ensure that he delivers on the President’s mandate.

He entreated Hon. Fusseini to team up with the security agencies to get rid of drug peddlers in the zongo community which was on the rise and destroying many of the able youths.

At Nii Kotey Dzor’s Palace, Nii Kotey Ashie, speaking on behalf of the Nkwantanang chief assured the MCE of their full support.

He appealed to the MCE to consider converting some of the roads in the Central Business Area into single lane to help ease traffic flow.

On the issue of the market stores, the traditional council appealed to the MCE to ensure that they get their fair share during allocation.

Accompanying the MCE were the Presiding Member, Hon. Ibrahim Abdul Razak, Member of Parliament for Madina, Hon. Xavier Sosu, Heads of Department and party faithfuls.

The MP, at each of the Palaces visited, prevailed on the chiefs to duly mobilize themselves and pay a courtesy call on His Excellency the President to congratulate him and use the opportunity to table their concerns.
