The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal, Hon. Ibrahim Faila Fusseini, has embarked on a tour of Basic Education Certificate Examination Centres in the Municipality on Friday, June 13, 2025.
Accompanying the MCE were the Deputy Coordinating Director, Confidence Logo; the Municipal Education Director, Kean Adjei Apea, the Presiding Member, Ibrahim Abdul Razak and other officials from both the Education directorate and the Assembly.
The centres visited include Queen of Peace, Fire Armour and Redco basic schools. The total number of candidates were 5,244, comprising 2,495 males and 2,749 females with 44 public schools and 105 private schools sitting the examinations at 24 centres.
In a brief remark to address the candidates, the MCE said the team had come to motivate them and boost their confidence to enable them sail through the examinations successfully.
He urge them to face each paper with calmness and confidence, adding that they should not panic before any paper. Hon. Fusseini admonished them to apply the principle of one paper at a time and never to worry their heads over examination papers that remain in the future yet to be written.
According to the MCE, education remains one of the top priorities of the government, for that matter, the Assembly has put in place a mechanism to reward the best performing candidate in the Municipality.
On his part, the Mr. Kean Adjei Apea commended the candidates for their studious effort over the years. He inspired them to believe in themselves and dwell on the hope that with the lord on their side they will come out with flying colours.
He urged them to repeat the excellent performance of their predecessors or outperform them. According to him the directorate was fully behind them and candidates who acquit themselves well will be rewarded.
