As part of a broad itinerary of familiarizing himself with key institutions in the municipality, the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Chief Executive, (MCE) Alhaji Ibrahim Faila Fusseini have paid a familiarization visit to the Madina Divisional Command.
He was accompanied by a Deputy Director, Confidence Logo; Municipal Works Engineer, Joseph Ohene Debrah; Director of Physical Planning, Owusu Afriyie and the Municipal Information Officer, Isaac Odoom on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
The visit was also in fulfilment of official requirement as the head of the Municipal Security Council which mandates his office to pay official visit to the all security institutions to acquaint himself with their concerns and pertinent issues.
In his opening remarks, the MCE commended the police command for sustaining peace and stability in the municipality despite logistical and resource constraints.
He said as a native of Madina, he would ensure that there was peaceful co-existence among the cosmopolitan dwellers of the area.
According to him, as security men and women, they should not compromise on the values of honesty, loyalty, faithfulness, integrity and allegiance to their calling, adding that they should approach their work without fear or favor.
He urged them not to hesitate to approach him on any pertinent issue that borders on security of the municipality.
In an open forum, various officers took turns to complain of challenges such as obsolete chairs, tables, lack of CCTV, dilapidated gate, roof leakage, worn-out facial board, among others.
On her part, the Divisional Commander, Chief Supt. Dr. Aba Afari expressed gratitude to the MCE and his entourage for the visit adding that the command has been energized to redouble their efforts. She expressed the hope that the concerns raised would be addressed in the shortest possible time.
Responding to the concerns raised, the MCE tasked the Works Engineer to oversee the concerns that fall within his remit. He further said the challenges raised would be addressed as soon as practical.
