La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly Signs MoU with Green Africa Youth Organization
The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) to collaborate on the implementation of the Zero Waste for Sustainable Cityscape Project in the municipality.
The agreement was signed by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ibrahim Faila Fusseini, on behalf of the Assembly, and Mr. Richard Matey, Executive Director of GAYO.
The partnership seeks to enhance waste management systems within the municipality, reduce air pollution, and promote environmental sustainability through community engagement and awareness creation.
The project is expected to support sustainable urban development and strengthen environmental management practices across the municipality.
The collaboration between the Assembly and GAYO will run for a period of five years, subject to periodic review based on the progress of the implementation.
The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with organizations and stakeholders to implement initiatives that improve environmental sustainability and enhance the quality of life for residents.
