The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Directorate of the National Health Insurance Scheme is embarking on registration, updating and renewing of NHIS Cards within the municipality.

According to Ms Dorothy Martinson, the Assistant Public Relations Officer (PRO) at the Scheme said, the exercise was to ensure that residents whose NHIS Cards has expired were renewed to enable them have access to better healthcare.

She said, so far her outfit had visited areas like Nkwantanang West and East Electoral Areas where a lot of residents were able to either renew or update their NHIS Cards.

Ms Martinson made these remarks today, Monday, August 29, 2022 at the premises of the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA) where a similar exercise is on-going for the staff.

She indicated that, her outfit will spend three (3) days at the Assembly and hope that about 150 staff might benefit from the exercise.
