As part of activities to mark this year’s World Environment Day to be observed on Monday, 5th June 2023 under the theme “Solutions for Plastic Pollution”, the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly in collaboration with Prudential Life Insurance Ghana this morning, Saturday, June 3, 2023, organised a clean up exercise at the car park of the Madina central market. The two and half hour exercise which began at 5:30am was actively participated by Sanitation officers, Prudential life Insurance staff, market queens, Hon Assembly member for the area, traders, drivers, market women and Zoomlion workers. The activities undertaken involved sweeping, collection of refuse and public sensitization and awareness creation on good sanitation practices with emphasis on plastic pollution.
