The Management of La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA) wishes to inform the general public and its residents that the Municipality has been selected to host the maiden Regional Sanitation Day. The day will be marked with a clean-up exercise at Madina Zongo Junction and its environs on Friday, 28th February, 2025.
This initiative is part of efforts of the Hon. Greater Regional Minister to promote environmental cleanliness, improve public health, and foster community participation in waste management, which is in line with His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda for the reintroduction of the National Sanitation Day.
In the light of the above, all residents and business owners within the Municipality are kindly requested to take note and comply with the following directives;
- All shops and business should be remain closed from 6:00 am till 12 noon on Friday, February 28, 2025.
- All residents and shop owners/traders within the Madina Market, Madina Lorry Station, Zongo Junction and Ritz Junction areas are required to participate in this all-important clean-up exercise.
- All residents and shop owners/traders in other communities in the Municipality are entreated to organise clean-up exercise within their localities on the said date.
Please note that any person or group of persons who fail to comply with the above directives will be sanctioned or prosecuted in accordance with the relevant law.
