The Culture, Creative Arts and Tourism Department of the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly on Friday, March 14, 2025 organized a stakeholders’ engagement forum.
The purpose of the forum was to, among other things, encourage schools within the Municipality to develop interest in Ghanaian languages in addition to the English Language.
It was also to introduce the festivals and events that are mandated by the department to be held annually.
The event presented an opportunity to introduce the Municipal Culture, Creative Arts and Tourism Director, Miss Christiana Owusu Boateng to the industry players.
In her opening remarks, Miss. Boateng said learning the Ghanaian language in addition to the english language would afford children the opportunity to be abreast with their cultural heritage which would enhance their cultural awareness.
She also used the opportunity to introduce to the public the wear Ghana Festival and other events that her department was mandated to organize.
