On the 24th April, 2025 seven government appointees were sworn into office to augment the 15 elected assembly members summing up the house to 22 Assembly Members to steer development at the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly.
Her Worship Rosemary Abena Gyimah of Madina District Court 1, led the appointees to take the oath of office.
In a brief remark, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Abena Kwesiwa Kyei urged the newly sworn-in appointees to work in harmony to enhance efficiency of service delivery and implementation of national policies for development in the locality.
She admonished them to prioritize the development of the municipality which was the core mission for their swearing-in, adding that the gap bridging function they were supposed to play was crucial in the scheme of things.
Government appointees are responsible for implementing national policies at the local level, ensuring effective coordination and resource allocation for local development
They also provide leadership and guidance to local government staff promoting efficiency and transparency in service delivery.
